Mrs.Kazuko OGATA, president of Galerie Vinant had been expected that the Drawing, free expression on the paper would be important movement of the expression in the Japanese art field. The word, Drawing became very popular now after Issei OGATA used it as key word of his exhibition in 1991.
The different technique of prints are also important item. Basing on the strong relationship with European and American art dealers and artists, Galerie Vivant provides the prints of high quality for our customers.

Before Kazuko OGATA opened her gallery in 1976, she had been turned her attention to the great artistry of the poster. (At70th, the poster has not been estimated as important art.) She had been introducing not only Art Nouveau and Art Deco poster, but also CASSANDRE, FOLON, GRANGER, etc. major French artists to Japanese art market. She had been working as coordinator of the exhibition. She had coordinated lots of important poster exhibitions in Japan. One of the exhibitions she had coordinated, there is the Art Deco at PARCO in 1982. Since then, the Art Deco style has became popular in Japanese life.

The kaleidoscope is becoming new and important division of Galerie Vivant. The kaleidoscope is no more children’s toy! It should be treated as creative new vision connected with art and science that what Kazuko OGATA emphasizes. She founded IKA (The International Kaleidoscope Association) in 1999 with Mrs.Kimiko TERUKI to promote the kaleidoscope and is organizing the kaleidoscope exhibition at galleries and museums.
